Large commercial and residential losses can not only be devastating to the insured, but also the loss ratio of the agent and their carrier. This seminar will provide a unique insiders perspective to large losses. From the 46 story LeSelles Bank fire in Chicago, to a devastating one million dollar residential water loss in Eden Prairie, you’ll be there. We’ll discuss questions like: How can loss ratios be kept down? What unique challenges are presented by large losses? How are commercial losses unique? How to “bullet proof” your commercial insured’s from large losses?

#3  "Sensible or Scam: The Impact of the Green Movement on Insurance"

The green movement has had a significant impact on our society. This impact is now extending into insurance. What is green insurance? How does it effect property claims? Is the effect positive or negative? How are “green” building materials different? Blue jean insulation and coke bottle carpet are real, but are they beneficial? This seminar will dive into the world of “green” and separate fact from fiction.

Are homeowners always truthful about their claims? How can we sort fact from fiction? This unique seminar will discuss  issues on property claims and how they effect those involved. We’ll bring you up-to-date on what’s new in restoration technology and how it is benefiting insurance professionals and your insured’s. Drying can now involve high heat and thermal imaging can be used to “see” moisture inside walls. See how smoke odor removal can be guaranteed without even using deodorizer.
